Favorite
Children's Book and/or Author: I became a children's
librarian, because
of my great love for children's literature. Two of my favorite books
are: The
Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo.
However, in my opinion... no author comes close to Patricia
Polacco. I had the opportunity to see her speak once at a
reading conference in Nashville, where she read, The Keeping
Quilt. When she finished reading, there was not a dry
eye in the place. I have an autographed copy of the book that I
hold dear. |

Educational
Interests: I enjoy teaching children how to use
different forms of technology. Technology today seems to
change almost daily and we have to grow along with the changes
or get left behind. I have learned that you are never too
old to learn new tricks. |

Hobbies:
When I am not reading, I enjoy quilting, needlepoint, cross-stitch,
and swimming. I also love to sing. |
