Congratulations S.T.L.P.!
Trapp Elementary students
prepared a community service project for the S.T.L.P. showcase
competition in November. They received a score of 98 and will go
on to the State Competition on May 10th. The "Welcome to Trapp" is a basket containing
several items which are given to new students that move into the Trapp
community or are new to the school. The students prepared a
brochure about the history of the school, the businesses and churches in
the area and a coupon for a meal at Fox's Store. The basket also
contains a Trapp license plate, a Trapp T-shirt, Avon samples from a
local representative, and a short movie on CD created by the students. The
movie is a
virtual tour of the school, an interview with David Berryman (Trapp
Alumni), and historical pictures and information of the Trapp
School. Students also displayed a booklet with copies of all the
newspaper articles regarding the fire and placement of students while
Trapp was being rebuilt.
